One of the most concerning aspects of this issue is the alleged involvement of Chinese organized criminal groups in human trafficking on the East Coast. Oz's tour of Flushing, Queens, revealed a cluster of social adult care centers serving ethnic Chinese and Korean senior citizens, which are suspected of generating massive amounts of questionable bills to Medicaid. The federal government covers more than half of Medicaid's costs, and the state and local governments cover the rest, making it a significant financial burden on taxpayers.
